Here at Southsea Folk we aim to capture and celebrate the essence of the creative local community.

Our print publication features artistic portraits of inspiring local folk in their environments. It’s due out quarterly in March, June, September and December and will be distributed all around Southsea in cafes, shops etc. Here on our website/blog we act as roving reporters and feature content about what’s on, what’s new and the places we love. So who are ‘we’?

Louise O'Brien

... is the online editor and driving force behind Southsea Folk. Having started one issue as a magazine has now developed into a local hub supporting all the local businesses around here. From a website to local events and offering a community spirit, Southsea Folk is adapting all of the time. Louise also runs a blog and social media pages under the name Northern Interior Girl. Having recently moved from Sheffield to Southsea has hit the ground running getting to know the independent local businesses. She can often be found drinking at The Kings Street Tavern or slurping noodles in Bubble & Pho.
