VE Day (or Victory in Europe Day) on the 8th May will be slightly different this year due to the very necessary lockdown conditions. But that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate in style!
Having met Jenna Boyson a few times at various fayres around Southsea, I wanted to catch up with her and talk one to one about her mission, love, future and main project, Forced To Be Fussy Having spent time these last few weeks changing my own diet by cutting out milk and thinking about cutting out dairy, I remembered Jenna. She’s had to remove so many foods from her diet, I wanted to talk to her about how that felt and what steps she’s taken to get where she is now.
Walking into the Tea Tray is actually like a tea blend within itself; a mixture of creativity, good food, great tea and coffee, lots of art and music. A place with a distinctive vibe that turns from cafe to music hang out, art exhibition to event space. There is a relaxed atmosphere with mid-century pieces of furniture and eclectic items dotted around the spacious building. The interiors have great scope to continuously adapt, adding different styles and trends, pieces never looking out of place. This is one of the reasons why we loved holding our website launch here.

Having just come back from a bar that had been made out of old gents toilets I popped into the Parade Tea Rooms for brunch and saw the owner there. We were talking about how lots of people say ‘oh meet you at the toilet blocks!’ when in actual fact it wasn’t a toilet block but an electrical substation.
Sally from Southsea Bakes has a beautiful home in Milton with a wow factor kitchen; Smeg fridge, range cooker, concrete worktops… her interior style is sophisticated and her huge dining table is a beautiful old draftsman table.
