It’s that time of year when children love to get out that spooky outfit and consume more sweets than their bodies want them to. Adults want to dress up and plan to drink spooky cocktails like a bloody martini and who can resist the Halloween 3 for 2 offers at the supermarket?
If however, you fancy doing a few more fun things check out below what ideas I have planned for you.
First of all Visit Hampshire has created an amazing list of things to do to celebrate Halloween and autumn. My favourite, Rogate Farm was like landing on a Beetlejuice movie set. We had the most fun day out and will probably aim to visit again this year. One thing to note is it can get quite muddy so pack your wellies. Fun for all the family.
Go See The Addams Family at The Kings Theatre 24th – 26th October FAMILY
This spooky musical is just the ticket for a fun evening out with your family. Get onboard with the favourite kooky family in this original musical about love, family, honesty and growing up.
Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and has a shocking secret that only Gomez knows; she’s fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family! Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before — keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. All the usual clan are present – Uncle Fester, Lurch, Pugsley and Grandma!
Get ready for a fantastic show that is in Southsea for just 3 nights from the 24th until the 26th of October. I loved the first night’s performance and thought Gomez was one of my favourites! Uncle Fester has you in stitches all the way through. You can get tickets here.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice at the Cinema FAMILY
If you loved the original film, you are going to love this! With lots of original cast members, like Michael Keaton, Catherine O’Hara, and Winona Ryder, it really does make you smile.
After a family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her teenage daughter, Astrid, accidentally opens the portal to the Afterlife.
Favourite moments for me were seeing Catherine O’Hara as I think her acting just gets better with age!
