The festive month is finally here and some great things to look forward to and I am not just talking about the Baileys on offer at Tesco!
Here are a few things I can’t wait to do.
I have already written about the markets on throughout December, and Darragh has written all about his highlights for the theatre, so check both posts out.
Roo and her Crew Exhibition 7th of December to the 17th – The Corner Collective – Southsea
Roo will be heading to the Corner Collective for her first solo show called ‘An Exhibition with Roo’s Crew’ and there has been a huge buzz about it in the Southsea community. Painting in Portsmouth back in September, as part of Look Up Portsmouth, meant that locals got to taste Roo’s style when she painted the side of the building at the Corner Collective.
Roo who is London -based, has also painted in the city on many occasions and over the last year you may have seen the fabulous rat mural at the back of Debenhams, just off Palmerston Road. Find out all about this cool show by clicking on the link above.

Lake of Lights – 17th December – Canoe Lake Southsea
Make time to join the annual Lake of Lights in-memory event, taking place at Canoe Lake in Southsea on Sunday, 17 December 2023, from 5pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to remember those special to you and dedicate a candle that will be placed on the lake to create a magical ‘Lake of Lights’ while reflecting on memories shared with loved ones who are no longer with us.
Everyone is welcome to attend our Lake of Lights event, whether you have received support from the Charity or not.
Visit the website here for all the details.
There are, of course, lots more events happening and you can find out about those through the council ‘What’s On’ page as well as events on Facebook.
