Love Southsea is bringing her Portsmouth Historic Dockyard Market back for a second year, and it looks as exciting as ever!
The well-anticipated Christmas indoor market has local traders where you can find unique gifts, and enjoy a festive atmosphere with your family. Situated at Boat House no5, it offers a FREE entry where you don’t have to pay to access the market. Based in a beautiful historic setting, this market is set to be a crowd-pleaser once again.
The dates the market is happening are Saturday the 23rd of November and Sunday the 24th of November. Open from 10am until 4pm, the market brings all the Christmas vibes with hundreds of performers over the entire weekend.
With over 80 fab independent traders there, you can be sure to find something and get your Christmas shopping started. I love that so many of my favourite indies will be there.
Speaking to Lou from Love Southsea, she said, “Having visited a market recently that cost me £30 entry and was not as good as I thought, It made me think about how lucky we are in Portsmouth to have a market like this that has been curated well and has such a wide range of incredible local artisans and independent business owners on site. They will all be under one roof and give the public a chance to see our talent locally. Come and say hi and see the atmosphere with performers entertaining us all day, we can’t wait to greet you and see the smiles on everyone’s faces.”
Chatting to Heather from The Interior Port, she said, “I am really looking forward to bringing The Interior Port to the historic dockyard this weekend. It will be the first time we have brought our interior business to any market. It looks set to be a great weekend and the atmosphere down at the naval dockyard is always great and gives the Christmas atmospheric vibes that will make people get in the festive mood.”
Although a lot is happening this weekend, you can plan and fit in a visit here in the daytime before heading to the We Shine event after dark.
