The passion this city has for good food really shows with the amount of independent eateries we have across the island. We are so lucky to have such an array of cool food places dotted around Portsmouth.

This place is such a Southsea favourite amongst locals, of course, the food is as good as the coffee. They offer a coffee and a bun for take out on Monday to Friday for £6.
This little bar and hangout is just a delight and the girls there offer some great fun events during the month, like their quiz events on Sundays!
At the moment, they invite Lucy from Wines By The Sea for Wine Wednesdays which means if you buy 2 large glasses of wine, you get the rest of the bottle for free.

This cool independent on Great Southsea Street is a lovely place for food and drinks. Having different areas to hang out, you can decide if you want formal seating or hang out in the garden, the bar area, or the comfy chairs and sofas.
They are offering 3 small plates for £20 from the A La Carte menu every Wednesday and Thursday.
Bavette Steak Night is on Thursdays for £12 and they also do 2 for £12 cocktails every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 5pm until 7pm.
This Californian-style Mexican is offering 2 for £12.95 cocktails Sunday to Thursday.
On the food side, they have launched a lunchtime deal which is 2/3 course meals for £9.95/£12.95.
This newly opened eatery that specialises in Albanian and Kosovo food is offering a free coffee with their breakfast menu Monday to Friday during April.
They serve a fantastic Albanian breakfast which is well worth a try.
This indie is renowned for making good food fresh every day from various locations. The original site is based on Fawcett Road and the new site is down at Old Portsmouth on Broad Street, just past Hotwalls Studios.
They are offering breakfast baps for £8 with a coffee and the egg frittata bap is soooo nice!
Also on the menu is their bagel deal which consists of any bagel and coffee for £10.
As warmer weather is on the way, the independent cafe has just launched its new milkshake menu and it looks fab, so well worth popping along to try out.

Desi Cafe serves up amazing Indian food cooked to perfection and the good thing is their delivery food tastes just as good as eating at the restaurant!

This Lebanese-Middle Eastern restaurant is a place to go for authentic food and has a great setting.
For April, they are offering 2 for 1 on their Mocktails every day from 4pm until 6pm
Their mezze menu is extensive and offers a hot and cold option. You can have 3 for 2 mezze all night from Sunday through to Thursday. You can take your own wine here and the corkage charge is £3. This restaurant is a cashless venue and although it is a BYOB, you aren’t allowed to turn up with mixers.
